Dan Bessesen, MD is Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine. He is also the Director of the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center and the Anschutz Endowed Chair in Health and Wellness at the University of Colorado. His research group studies appetite and body weight regulation in humans. He was the Associate Program Director or Program Director of the Endocrine Fellowship Training program at the University of Colorado from 1992-2019 and is the PI on the NIH funded Obesity, Metabolism and Diabetes T32 Training grant at Colorado.
